Traditional Wines

We cultivate about twenty hectares of vineyards along the Mosel, primarily Riesling. Our winery started as a small 'garage winery' and grew into a place where tradition
and creativity go hand in hand.

Our wines are elegant and offer a distinctive drinking pleasure. We focus on working close to nature, allowing for long ripening periods, and practicing a controlled hands-off approach to fully develop the authentic character of each grape variety and terroir.

Steep Slopes, Hand-Worked

Our vineyards are situated on steep slopes with unique slate soils, which impart minerality, structure, and delicate elegance to every grape. In the Leiwener Laurentiuslay, on the Schweicher Annaberg, and in many other traditional top sites, we produce Rieslings with exceptional depth, expressiveness, and personality.

From careful harvesting to bottling, we use spontaneous fermentation, without cultured yeasts, and allow for long aging on the lees. Every drop tells the story of our manual work, our passion, and the unique slate soils of the Mosel. It invites you to discover the diversity and fascination of our craft.

“We make wine the same way it was made here on the Mosel
100 years ago. The wine goes into the bottle just as it grows in the vineyard.”
