Wine Made with Passion & Love

Growing up in Leiwen on the Moselle, I developed a close connection to wine at an early age. My fascination with how soil, climate, and meticulous craftsmanship shape a wine’s character remains the foundation of our work to this day. After graduating from high school, I studied oenology at Geisenheim University. There, I laid the technical foundation for our current operation and gained a deep understanding of viticulture, winemaking, and terroir.

Experience in various wine regions subsequently broadened his perspective on different working methods and styles. Hands-on work in California and the Palatinate provided insights into international wine production, modern winemaking techniques, and different approaches to working with grape varieties and terroir.

In 2011, we returned to our roots in Leiwen on the Moselle, where our current winery was established. What began on a small scale in a cellar has grown over the years into a vineyard of approximately 19 hectares that we cultivate ourselves. The origin of the grapes plays a central role in this. Our white wines are produced almost exclusively on the Moselle, with Riesling in particular taking center stage. The red wines come from the Palatinate. The interplay of the cool Mosel climate and mineral-rich slate soils shapes the style of the wines and gives them structure, minerality, and precise fruit.

In the cellar, too, the focus is on the wine’s origins. Fermentation takes place spontaneously using the grapes’ natural yeasts. Grapes from different plots and harvested at different times are processed and fermented separately to capture the unique characteristics of each vineyard and the distinct qualities of each vintage as authentically as possible.

The result is wines that combine terroir, artisanal craftsmanship, and a modern approach to quality—shaped by the conditions of the Moselle and the development of a winery built from the ground up in Leiwen.

Tradition &
Modernity

Our goal is to produce natural wines that clearly reflect the character of the terroir while bearing our distinctive style. Each year, we produce around 50 different wines, ranging from elegant Rieslings and full-bodied reds to special cuvées. We place a high value on quality, precision, and authenticity—from the meticulous work in the vineyard to the bottling process in the cellar.

We blend tradition with modernity. Our wines reflect the diversity of the vineyards where the grapes are grown and bear the distinctive hallmark of our winery. The result is wines that are a delight to drink, spark curiosity, and vividly capture the character of the Mosel and Palatinate in every bottle.
